Electrical Engineer – Overhead Line Designer
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Overhead Line design, ready to contribute to Europe’s largest infrastructure projects and the green transition? Join Ramboll’s Power Systems Department as an Overhead Line Designer.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering specifications and technical documentation for Overhead Lines up to 420 kV.
- Conduct necessary calculations (sag & tension, loads, earthing, lightning protection, etc.).
- Create Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities.
- Prepare Building Design (including obtaining the Building Permit) and Detailed Design.
- Drive multidisciplinary cooperation and coordination.
- Lead technical reviews and agreements with clients and suppliers.
- Deliver consulting services and advice to clients and customers.
Qualifications
- PhD or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of Overhead Lines.
- Proficiency in PLS‑CADD and QGIS.
- Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
- Comfortable taking ownership of scope, making assumptions and decisions with clients.
- Eagerness to contribute to the green energy transition.
