This position ensures proper working conditions according to Workplace Safety & Security Rules based on current legislation and norms and the Company’s Standards. In this role, you will implement the companys EHS policies, procedures, programs, and systems for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of the organisations facilities, equipment, and materials, to ensure
personnel and property protection. The EHS Specialist drives the culture of Safety Leadership, programs related to Wellbeing, Health and Protection of Environment. In this role, you will assess risks in EHS and security areas and act to reduce the impact/eliminate them. This is a position supporting and in close collaboration with the People & Culture team.
In this role, you will:
- identify the risks in EHS and Security area and act upon accordingly
- identify employees’ needs for training in the areas of Workplace safety, Health, Enviroment protection, Security etc. cooperating with other JTI’s departments, aiming at improving the safety, security and performance of the company
- create and update documentation required by EHS regulations. Implementing and overseeing the compliance with the company procedures according to the “best practice” rule
- maintain contact with Global EHS Department and Corporate Security Department, and managerial staff to achieve a shared vision of safe & secure working conditions
- drive EHS and Security culture through different programs such as Safety Leadership, Health Initiatives, certifications (ISO 4500, LEED etc.), communication etc.
- collaborate and support the local People & Culture team
- Preferably University degree in EHS area, certified according to EHS Regulation of the Council of Ministers
- preferably 2-3 years in area of EHS in a similar position
- English and Polish, both fluent
- Good knowledge of related legislation, experience of management of ISO 14000, 4500, LEED or similar certifications. Good understanding of risk assessment principles
