About the role / Segment

Siemens EDA is a top‑tier supplier in the Electronic Design Automation industry, part of Siemens DI. We develop design‑for‑test (DFT) tools for the industry‑leading Tessent product line, which are crucial for silicon validation used by leading semiconductor companies.

We need a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the R&D team. Development is in C++ on Linux. The candidate must design and implement high‑quality, efficient, maintainable software solutions for complex problems, learn quickly, and work effectively within a distributed team. The position can be in‑office or hybrid at our Poznan, Poland, location.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors (or higher) in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• C++ programming experience.
• Understanding of software architecture best practices and object‑oriented programming.
• Excellent and creative problem‑solving skills, including algorithms and data structures.
• At least basic knowledge of digital logic design.
• Attention to detail and high‑quality work.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL).
• Experience with software development on Linux and tools like Git.
• Knowledge of machine learning methodologies.

Area of Responsibility

• Develop new functionalities in silicon manufacturing diagnosis and debug.
• Maintain regression test cases.
• Develop new functionalities in Automatic Test Pattern Generation infrastructure.
• Work at Siemens Software.
