Purpose and Objectives
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer‑focused team member to strengthen the Cloud Architecture & Advisory team. The candidate will act as a primary point of contact for customers on technical topics and will work closely with internal teams during the sales cycle.
Responsibilities
- Present in detail technical, security, and operational aspects of the SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition and its value proposition to customers (CIOs, IT managers, data center managers, and SAP technology staff).
- Support and organize technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Conduct detailed technical workshops with customers to define the “to‑be” architecture and migration roadmap together with partners, System Integrators, and SAP Professional Services.
- Work closely with SAP solution architects and customers to map the planned solution architecture into the Private Cloud Edition reference architecture.
- Blueprint customer requirements around HA/DR, business continuity, security & compliance and networks.
- Generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
- Own technical discussions with customers on the Private Cloud Edition topic and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from Cloud Architecture & Advisory.
Education and Qualifications- Fluency in English is a must; other languages are an asset.
- High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
- Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies).
- Good understanding of operational aspects of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
- Good understanding of the entire platform stack (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks).
- Good understanding of capabilities of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Good understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects.
- Willingness to undertake customer‑related travel on short notice.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university.
Work Experience
- 12+ years’ experience in customer‑facing SAP Technology Consulting (Basis, Admin, DB Admin, Migrations, Upgrades, Business Continuity, Operations).
- 10+ years’ experience in solution design, enterprise architecture, and SAP implementation.
- Experience in a customer‑facing pre‑sales role is an advantage.
- Experience with IaaS providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data centers is a big advantage.
- SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but are not mandatory.
