In this position as a District Heating Engineer, you will join our international team of experts and work on exciting and innovative projects. You will have an important part in implementing cutting-edge district heating (and cooling) projects. Your responsibilities will include developing conceptual designs and supporting asset owners in enhancing operational efficiency.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Taking a position in the design of groundbreaking low carbon district heating (and cooling) projects.
- Undertaking design tasks, including feasibility studies, heat network zoning, hydraulic and energy modeling, as well as creating technical designs and specifications.
- Assisting in the development of peers, developing a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical expertise.
- Establish credibility and dependability by actively participating with your team.
- Carry out modelling district heating and cooling systems with specialized software.
- Develop plans and strategies in collaboration with clients and provide consultancy to run daily operations.

On top of that, you have:
- Masters degree in thermal engineering, environmental engineering, mechanics or applied physics along with 6 or more years of experience in the district energy sector.
- Broad engineering knowledge in conceptual designing of low carbon district heating (and cooling) systems, encompassing heat generation and storage, distribution, and building connections, throughout the various design phases.
- Expertise in conducting techno-economic modeling of district heating (and cooling) systems.
- Technical proficiency in hydraulic simulation and energy planning tools such as Termis, Leanheat, EnergyPro, Gradyent, Fluidit NetSim, etc will be an additional advantage.
- Excel proficiency: to be able to develop and improve in-house calculation models.
- Some experience with GIS, SCADA, billing systems databases e.g. MS SQL, Oracle is good to have.
- Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal (B2/C1).
- Willingness to undertake short business trips abroad.
