Your Job
We are currently seeking a Director of Operations for our plant in Sulęcin, Poland, Region Lubuskie. Our facility produces and delivers connectors for the industrial and automotive (Tier 1) markets. Employing circa 700 employees, Molex Sulecin has been established in Poland since 1997 and became part of Koch Industries in 2013.
The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, HS&E and dotted line reporting, Finance, Quality, and HR. Primary objectives include ensuring safety, maintaining high-quality standards, and enhancing team capabilities by applying our Principle Based Management Philosophy. We seek an individual with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, who is highly self-motivated, flexible, confident, and passionate about developing talent to drive efficient, effective, and compliant operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead, develop, and mentor the plant management team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and transformation.
- Advance Principle Based Management Culture in the plant.
- Take overall accountability for the P&L and day-to-day business activities of the plant.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Oversee risk management processes to identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, safety, and ethical standards.
- Lead initiatives to enhance collaboration between departments and improve overall business performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of operations with broader business objectives.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Principled Entrepreneur – Ability to leverage strong decision-making and prioritization skills with business objectives.
- Strong focus on Operational Excellence Culture.
- Proven experience working in an international manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience leading Operations/Manufacturing teams or Supply Chain/Finance/Quality Teams in manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Master’s degree in a manufacturing-related discipline, finance management, or business management.
- Openness to business travel.
