What you will do

1. Lead and manage a team of migration engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support;
2. Establish team goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans;
3. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment;
4. Develop comprehensive migration strategies and roadmaps;
5. Oversee the execution of migration projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion;
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align migration activities with business objectives;
7. Provide technical leadership in the planning and execution of complex migration projects;
8. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to streamline migration efforts;
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to migration processes & tooling;
10. Engage with stakeholders to understand their migration needs and requirements;
11. Communicate migration progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders;
12. Identify and implement best practices for migration engineering;
13. Continuously improve migration processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
14. Assess and mitigate risks associated with migration projects;
15. Develop contingency plans to address potential migration challenges;
16. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Must haves

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred;
2. 6+ years of experience in IT/Engineering or development, with time in a leadership role;
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills;
4. Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful migration projects;
5. Proficiency in migration tools and technologies;
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
8. Experience with DevOps practices and tools;
9. Knowledge of database migration and ETL processes;
10. Experience with Java Development, Architecture and/or frameworks;
