This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that data privacy principles are implemented into all areas of Publicis’ business. This position should have knowledge of data privacy laws applicable to the AdTech and advertising industry. The position will coordinate with senior-level business, engineering, and system administration stakeholders to implement data privacy by design and default into existing and future proprietary systems. The role involves navigating between strategic business objectives and systems/process concepts.

Your responsibilities

  1. Support implementing and managing the Data Privacy Program for the NCE region alongside the Global Data Privacy Program Lead, in close coordination with the country CFOs.
  2. Collaborate with Publicis Groupes Global Data Privacy Office, the NCE region DPO, and the Global Security Office to ensure alignment of global data privacy practices and programs.
  3. Serve as a data privacy subject matter expert, focusing on EU privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
  4. Review business processes to ensure best practices in handling and use of personal information.
  5. Under supervision of the Global Data Privacy Program Lead:
  6. Deploy and ensure completion of record-keeping obligations.
  7. Compile status reports on data privacy deliverables for executive leadership.
  8. Provide strategic guidance to product/system owners on privacy-by-design and related tools and projects.
  9. Lead vendor due diligence assessments for market-specific vendors/partners.
  10. Partner with vendor contract owners to ensure contractual obligations comply with data privacy laws.

Our requirements

  1. Ideal candidate possesses excellent knowledge of the adtech industry, with strong initiative, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with management and leadership abilities.
  2. Comfortable working in a distributed team with remote management support.
  3. Stay informed on evolving data privacy laws to understand impacts on media business offerings and to implement necessary compliance measures.
  4. Experience and qualifications – essential
  5. At least 5 years’ experience in AdTech, digital media, or data privacy fields.
  6. Ability to manage 8-10 concurrent medium to large projects in a matrixed environment.
  7. Experience in collating and preparing Subject Access Request disclosures is a plus.
  8. Preferably 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years focused on data privacy, especially European laws.
  9. Experience with OneTrust platform and knowledge of information technology are desirable.
