The role of Director Marketplace Development (Smart Shopping / Agentic AI transformation) combines e-commerce expertise, data‑driven personalization, and innovation leadership to build a new strategic business pillar for ZEN.COM.
We are looking for a leader to build and drive the development of a new shopping model within the zen app, where users will be able to easily search, compare, and purchase products from thousands of stores, including the most popular e‑commerce platforms.
Our goal is not to create another marketplace, but to redefine online shopping through full personalization, intelligent recommendations, and real‑time offer matching. Every user should receive tailored suggestions perfectly aligned with their needs, lifestyle, behaviors, and the profiles of similar consumers.
Requirements
- Proven track record in e‑commerce—experience building or scaling online shopping platforms, marketplaces, or digital commerce products.
- Deep knowledge of personalization and recommendation systems—familiarity with machine learning, data‑driven targeting, and user profiling.
- Strong product management expertise—ability to define vision, roadmap, KPIs, and deliver complex products end‑to‑end.
- Experience with integrations and partnerships—working with APIs, payments, logistics, and large e‑commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
- User experience focus—understanding of customer journeys, UX/UI, and conversion optimization.
- Data‑driven decision making—ability to translate analytics and behavioral data into actionable insights.
- Creative and innovative mindset—courage to redefine standards, experiment, and bring new solutions to market.
- Leadership skills—experience managing cross‑functional and international teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration—ability to work closely with executives, partners, and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (Polish optional but beneficial).
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Product Vision: Define and deliver the roadmap for the new shopping model, set and monitor KPIs, and translate market trends into product directions.
- Personalization & Technology: Design and develop recommendation, search, and real‑time offer‑matching mechanisms; build user profiles and look‑alike models with ML/AI teams.
- Integrations & Partnerships: Establish and lead strategic partnerships with e‑commerce platforms and technology providers; oversee APIs, payments, product catalogs, ensuring scalability and stability.
- User Experience: Design an intuitive, engaging shopping journey within the fintech app; continuously optimize UX/UI and smart‑shopping interactions based on testing and data.
- Analytics & Leadership: Monitor personalization performance, run experiments, and scale solutions based on insights; lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with the executive team to shape a new business pillar.
