As Group Commerce Business Intelligence director, you act as a strategic business partner to cater to the needs of Directors and other senior leaders within the Commerce organization at Allegro, ensuring insightful data-driven guidance is readily accessible to underpin commercial decisions across all markets. Identifying key challenges and opportunities by leveraging internal and external data is paramount in this role. Permeate a culture of analytical literacy while spearheading efforts towards the development of Business Analytics within the Commerce unit.

This position bears the significant responsibility of creating self-service reporting solutions, playing a crucial role in enhancing the functionality and efficiency within the Commerce department. Furthermore, this role entails a collaborative engagement with other Tech and Analytical teams within Allegro to drive continuous improvement in our analytical tool-set and foster productive cross-team interactions. While the scope of this role covers CEE Region (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and the new expansion countries for Allegro).

Responsibilities:

Lead commercial analytics teams, i.e. Verticals, Merchant, C2C/ Allegro Lokalnie, International Expansion, Campaigns, Own Media, Mall, Market Intelligence

Undertake robust monitoring and analysis of pivotal KPIs.The insights garnered from these investigations are instrumental in steering strategic decisions. Alongside this, initiate pioneering exploratory analysis on these high-priority KPIs, ceaselessly seeking to introduce cutting-edge analytical techniques.

Evolve analytics methodologies to gather insights for business progression and transformation.

Chart out strategic roadmaps for the team, aligning them with broader business objectives.

Mentor and assist analytics team leads and members to elevate the quality of analytics support and provide actionable recommendations.

Manage and oversee a spectrum of Commerce analytic teams, each with distinct maturity levels, systems, and processes. Part of your responsibility will be to provide guidance to team leads, aiding them in becoming proficient supporters for both their teams and stakeholders.

Engage a diverse range of stakeholders, from the Executive and Commerce Leadership Teams to Team Leads.

  • Foster collaboration across multiple Analytics and Tech teams within Allegro, driving essential knowledge exchange.

Requirements:

Possesses remarkable leadership skills, capable of driving and inspiring individuals across various organizational levels, with special proficiency in data analytics and business intelligence

Expert knowledge in data management and analysis processes. Comprehensive understanding of data-driven operations in e-commerce and can collaborate effectively with business teams in the Commerce organization.

  • Makes decisions backed by data, demonstrating a highly analytical mindset and proficiency in SQL/Python/GCP and relevant modern, analytics tools.
  • Ability to collaborate and drive alignment on Top Management level
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English
