The Accounting and Control Europe team acts as a liaison between Corporate Accounting, GBS, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain Finance, Internal Audit, external auditors, and European Finance teams to support business process efficiency, and compliance with global accounting and control policies for approx. 120 legal entities in Europe.
What You Will Do
- Monitor the quality of financial closing and drive continuous improvement thereof
- Partner with GBS, SCF, Division Finance and COE’s to drive process improvement
- Address complex accounting topics, e.g. judgemental accruals, new policies
- Review and approve large and unusual journals
- Support and/or lead training initiatives
- Partner with Market Finance to ensure quality of balance sheet reviews
- First point of contact for external audits in Europe incl. coordination of the centralized statutory audits for the EBS/NSAP entities
- Coordinate ad hoc data requests within the region
- Consult on consolidation issues related to global reporting in HFM
- Support finance integrations following acquisitions and mergers
- Drive finance transformation initiatives
- Monitor regression testing with lead users for EBS/NSAP
- Support global tax and treasury initiatives
- Supervise preparation of the statutory financial statements, tax returns, and related compliance for Ecolab Europe GmbH and Swiss holding companies.

What You Will Need
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Fluent in English
- Cultural agility
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Self-motivated, organized work with minimal supervision
- Above average oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and influence virtually
- Ability to drive process improvement across functions
- Service orientated.
