Toyota Boshoku Europe – Poland i is the newly opened branch of Toyota Boshoku Europe, the Europe & Africa headquarters of Toyota Boshoku. The Wrocław branch plays an important role towards Toyota Boshoku Europe’s expansion strategy, while strengthening Toyota Boshoku’s footprint in the EA region.
In the new office allows us to centralize know-how, optimize processes efficiency, increase competitiveness, improve quality of services and support future projects. It aims at improving operations of our Poland-based manufacturing companies alongside strengthening headquarters activities.
Job Summary
As the Digital Transformation Assistant Manager - Manufacturing, you will support the digital transformation initiatives within the manufacturing division. This role will involve analysis and implementation of innovative technologies provided by Industry 4.0 such as AI, Image Processing, Robotics and other innovative solutions. You will play a key role in enhancing our practices and ensuring digital transformation across manufacturing functions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage digital transformation projects aimed at modernizing manufacturing lines, with a strong emphasis on deploying AI, Digital Twin, and image processing technologies to enhance automation, quality, and efficiency.
- Assess and identify standards for manufacturing infrastructure by evaluating current equipment and connectivity, ensuring readiness for the integration of advanced digital solutions and standardized processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the shop floor and across departments to design and implement innovative digital strategies that directly improve manufacturing operations.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, applying AI-driven insights, Digital Twin simulations, and image processing for real-time process improvements.
- Develop and implement practical solutions that leverage digital transformation to boost productivity, reduce downtime, and improve product quality on the manufacturing line.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies and process changes, using standardized metrics and feedback from plant teams to ensure measurable improvements.
- Provide hands‑on training and support to manufacturing teams, enabling effective adoption of new digital tools and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stay current with the latest advancements, proactively pilot and scale solutions that deliver tangible benefits to plant operations.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and successes to stakeholders, focusing on the operational impact and value delivered by digital transformation initiatives.
- Continuously scout and implement innovative technologies in robotics, AI, and automation, ensuring solutions are standardized and scalable across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Gather feedback and adoption metrics from plant teams to refine digital solutions, ensuring they are practical, user‑friendly, and aligned with manufacturing needs.
- Maintain clear documentation and best practices for all digital transformation activities, supporting knowledge sharing and consistent execution across the organization.
Your profile
- You are fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical/Electronical Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years’ experience in automation for production of automotive parts
- Good people, coaching and project management skills
- Experience in SCADA, MES, EMS, or related ERP systems
- Experience in Cloud Services, Webservices, API
- Knowledge of Python, in the context of customizing components within industrial communication
- Experience with automation protocols such as OPCUA, MQTT, SFTP
- Familiar with LC/NC Platforms & SCADA software (e.g., Ignition, Node-Red, Kepware, NI Vision)
- Familiar with AI based IoT devices (such as NVidia Jetson Nano, Omni, Keyence)
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other related technologies
- SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team international environment
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
