What You Will Do

As a Digital Product Owner (DPO), you will work closely with Digital Product Managers, SMEs, UX Designers, Data Analysts, suppliers and stakeholders to continuously improve our products and the user experience. Within this role, constructive collaboration with other entities of Volvo Group, external partners, and the HCL organization is a key factor of success. You will need to develop good relationships with your business partners and stakeholders. Scope: Volvo Group Level and IT partners.

Who are you?

  • You have a university degree or equivalent and experience of leading functionally, preferably within IT management.
  • You have proven experience as a leader, good understanding of our partners and suppliers and a clear quality & compliance focus.

This Is How You Could Make An Impact

As the Digital Product Owner, you will take ownership of a specific part of the digital product and, as a champion of the product vision and your team, you will turn the roadmap into deliverables and secure alignment with the overall strategy and product vision. You are a member of a stable team and are responsible for managing the team backlog prioritization and delivery. You will lead the OBO (On Behalf of) and ODF (Onsite Delivery Framework) Stable Team responsible for tactical and strategic area, and report to the IT Operations Management Manager.

Selected Responsibilities

  • Support the team in creating product specifications in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria to ensure the stable team has all required information to deliver the desired outcome.
  • Lead the digital solution discovery process for assigned capabilities, including hypothesis generation, requirements gathering, design and scoping, in collaboration with the digital product manager, suppliers, UX designers, data analysts and subject‑matter experts.
  • Manage the strategic and tactical initiatives backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent and understood.
  • Contribute to the digital solution vision and champion this vision with stakeholders, suppliers and the stable team.
  • Ensure proper analytics, tracking and data collection mechanisms are in place to understand user behaviours and/or performance.
  • Provide necessary support to the stable team as may be required to aid their delivery.
  • Work with suppliers as needed to ensure expected outcomes are achieved and measured.
  • Manage monthly board meetings, scope changes of sites and resource utilization.
  • Own team development to secure long‑term and short‑term capacity and competence plans.
  • Learn customer needs through data and customer feedback.
  • Define the OLA with suppliers (Accountable).
  • Address supplier challenges related to FTE usage.
  • Collaborate with each supplier on settlement processes at the end of the year.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for OBO and ODF.
  • Govern and maintain the quality of Volvo Site Description.
  • Secure strategic relationship between Volvo management and HCL.
