We are looking for a Digital Infrastructure lead who will be responsible for leading a team of engineers delivering digital infrastructure, integration, automation, DevOps, and AI capabilities using technologies including Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Copilot, specialist AI tools and other emerging technologies. The role ensures the team is equipped with the appropriate tools, technologies and delivery processes and delivers and supports robust, secure and effective digital infrastructure solutions to meet business and customer needs.

Key responsibilities:
- Identify capability, skill and resource requirements to meet the organisations digital infrastructure needs including integration, automation, DevOps and AI requirements. Maintain, lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers specialising in relevant technologies to deliver these needs.
- Establish and maintain supplier resource augmentation relationships, using these for resource scaling and access to expertise to ensure the team has the skills and capacity to meet fluctuating business demand.
- Oversee the design, development and deployment of scalable integration and automation solutions using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Power Automate, and related technologies.
- Define, implement and monitor suitable performance metrics (e.g. deployment frequency, change failure rate, automation coverage) to assess team effectiveness.
- Use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance delivery speed, quality, and reliability.
What is required to be successful in this role:
- Proven experience leading technical teams delivering cloud-based integration and automation solutions, ideally within a financial services or similarly regulated environment.
- Technical background with experience of scalable and resilient cloud solution architectures, enterprise integration patterns and API lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies including Azure integration technologies (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, etc.), Power Platform and DevOps tooling.
- Experience of leading AI initiatives and delivering and operating AI and ML solutions.
- Demonstrable experience with DevOps practices and tooling, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, environment provisioning, and release automation.
- Track record of delivering solutions within Agile frameworks, contributing to cross-functional scrum teams and fostering strong collaboration with product and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading and managing hybrid teams with a focus on performance, cohesion, delivery quality and optimising team capacity and capabilities to meet dynamic business demand.
- Strong understanding of governance, security and compliance requirements, particularly in relation to cloud services, data protection, and financial services regulation.
