DevOps – OpenShift Administrator (L2) Miejsce pracy: Gdańsk Technologies we use Expected OpenShift Linux RHCOS YAML RBAC vSphere VMware Grafana Bash Shell Operating system Windows Linux About the project Type of contract: Contract of Employment Location and Work Mode: Gdansk - hybrid module of work 2/3 days from the office. Working hours: 24*7 system Your responsibilities Manage OpenShift clusters including control plane, infrastructure nodes, and worker nodes hosting business application containers. Perform cluster upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, capacity planning, and node scaling. Troubleshoot OpenShift issues across networking, storage, pods, operators, ingress, OVN, and cluster services. Administer OpenShift OVN overlay networking and ensure cluster health and performance. Diagnose and resolve PVC/PV issues, CSI driver behavior, and storage orchestration workflows. Conduct restore validations, backup job checks, and ensure compliance with retention policies. Utilize Prometheus‑based monitoring stack; configure alerts, dashboards, recording rules, and investigate performance anomalies. Handle incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Execute operational changes aligned with ITIL and enterprise governance. Maintain documentation: runbooks, SOPs, DR/failover procedures, and configuration standards. Collaborate with VMware, Network, Storage, Security, Cloud, and Application teams. Automate operational tasks using Bash/Shell scripting. Support on‑call rotation and 24×7 environment requirements. Our requirements 5–8 years of relevant experience in OpenShift Administration. Strong Linux/RHCOS expertise including systemd, SELinux, and OS hardening. Proficiency with oc/kubectl, YAML, operators, RBAC, quotas, and OpenShift projects. VMware vSphere operational experience (HA/DRS, VM placement/sizing, datastore troubleshooting). Solid understanding of storage technologies: CSI, ONTAP/Trident, NFS, iSCSI, PV/PVC lifecycle. Strong networking fundamentals: SDN, routing, MTU, ingress controllers, load balancers. Experience with backup & restore solutions (Velero, PowerProtect). Hands‑on usage of Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana for monitoring. Ability to create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and automation scripts. Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (Cloud, Security, Network, Developers/Firewall teams). Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and automation workflows. Strong Bash/Shell scripting experience. Understanding of ITSM workflows and ability to manage incidents across P1–P4 SLAs.
