We are continually improving our customer facing digital products, from mobile banking to credit card applications. As part of that built an entirely new platform to host and run all of this, making sure we have the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction and you can help bring this to life.
The successful candidate will be part of a globally diverse monitoring tooling team that provides support around the clock to a large internal customer base. The candidate will be required to bolster the support duties for the monitoring tools currently provided, namely AppDynamics, Splunk and Datadog.
Our Splunk environments are managed within both on-prem and AWS environments. As such, the successful candidate should be familiar within an AWS console, have demonstrable experience supporting such an environment and ideally terraform experience for deploying and managing such an environment in an automated manner.
Within all of our tools there is a requirement for the candidate to support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, documentation, implementation following defined best practices and operational workflows for both on-premise and AWS infrastructure.
The candidate will be required to interact with end users to gather requirements to on-board new data sources and applications into all relevant monitoring tools, analysing the application & configuration data for anomalies / trends, building dashboards and general support enquiries. The candidate should be familiar within a Linux environment as well as editing and maintaining configuration files associated to the supporting tooling.

Your responsibilities will range from being a technical innovator, a subject matter expert, a mentor & guide, a consultant and a trouble-shooter.
The Enablement Services team play an important role providing Monitoring tooling services to approximately 3000 developers within the HSBC Digital Global Business. We follow a strict infrastructure as code methodology in an enterprise public cloud environment. We are a global team of around 60 talented individuals, based in locations such as HK, India, US and UK. As we continue to grow, our goals remain the same;
