This project is based on the support and development of highly available Linux server landscapes, utilizing Ubuntu-based environments and OpenStack clouds. As part of the Linux Admin Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational stability of critical business applications, including webshops, customer platforms, and CRM systems. The team operates servers mainly located in Frankfurt and Maintal, focusing on high availability and fault tolerance.

On-Call Duty: This role requires you to participate in an on-call rotation once a month, providing 24/7 support triggered by system alerts or client notifications.
Hybrid Work: The role allows for a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days per week in the office in one of the following locations: Warszawa, Lublin, Rzeszów, Poznań, Łódź, or Katowice.

Your responsibilities
- Planning, Design, and Installation: You will plan, design, and implement Linux server landscapes based on Ubuntu, while managing and developing OpenStack cloud environments.
- Server Management: Ensure the performance, capacity, and availability management of Linux servers and openStack cloud instances.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide operational support using a trouble ticket system, including second and third-level troubleshooting for incidents and system failures.
- Automation: Create and adapt automation processes, and develop automatic system configurations through scripting.
- IT Security: Support the implementation of server hardening and securing services running on Linux-based environments.
- On-call Duty: Participate in an on-call rotation (1 week per month) for critical system alerts, supported by the monitoring systems. Respond to issues outside regular working hours (night/weekends), alternating with colleagues in Germany.
Our requirements
- Linux Administration: Solid experience in Linux server environments, preferably with Ubuntu.
- OpenStack Management: Knowledge of OpenStack environments (6 environments, 250 VMs, vanilla stack).
- Automation with Ansible: Experience in writing and maintaining Ansible Playbooks for system automation.
- Version Control: Proficiency with GitLab Pipelines (on-premise) for continuous integration and deployment.
- Troubleshooting: Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and providing 2nd/3rd line support for complex server issues.
