Description:

Our client is a world-leading provider of telecom equipment, solutions, and services to mobile and fixed network operators and telecom providers all over the world.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code tool Terraform.
3. Solid experience with GitLab.
4. Proficiency in Kubernetes administration and container orchestration concepts.
5. Hands-on experience deploying and managing distributed systems such as Kafka, Kong, and MongoDB in Kubernetes environments.
6. Familiarity with Helm and chart templating languages (YAML, Go) for defining Kubernetes applications.
7. Strong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
8. Knowledge of cloud computing platform Azure and respective services.
9. Commercial experience in installation/configuration testing.
10. Understanding of load testing, reliability, failover, and high availability aspects of the system is a plus.
11. Good understanding of different testing types, levels, and techniques.
12. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
13. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a focus on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
14. Understanding of 3GPP specifications is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Provisioning:

• Develop Terraform scripts to automate the provisioning and configuration of Kubernetes clusters on Azure cloud platform.
• Define infrastructure-as-code templates to deploy and manage Kubernetes resources, including nodes, pods, services, and persistent volumes.
• Implement Terraform modules and reusable components to standardize infrastructure deployments and ensure consistency across environments.
• Advocate for and enforce infrastructure-as-code best practices, including version control, code review, and automated testing of Terraform scripts.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks for Terraform scripts, Helm charts, and Kubernetes configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Kubernetes Configuration:

• Configure Kubernetes clusters according to best practices and security standards, including network policies, RBAC rules, and container runtime settings.
• Integrate Kubernetes with cloud-native services and tools to enhance scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Automate the deployment and scaling of Kubernetes applications using Helm charts, Kubernetes Operators, or custom Kubernetes manifests.

Application Deployment:

• Utilize Helm charts to package and deploy complex applications such as Kafka, Kong, and MongoDB on Kubernetes clusters.
• Customize Helm charts and values files to tailor application configurations, including resource limits, environment variables, and ingress rules.
• Implement continuous deployment pipelines to automate the deployment and rollout of application updates across Kubernetes environments.
• Configure monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana to monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters and applications.
• Implement alerting and escalation policies to proactively identify and address infrastructure and application issues.
