HSBC Markets and Securities Services (MSS) is an emerging markets-led and financing-focused business that provides tailored financial solutions to major government, corporate and institutional clients worldwide. The role is within MSS IT – a department of HSBC Technology Services (HTS) - providing IT application development and support services to Business and IT teams within HSBC MSS.
In particular, the HTS DCS Team falls under the MSS IT Securities Financing function, providing 24*7 development, enhancement, and support for a number of components.

responsibilities :
Maintain and optimise our CI/CD and Ops pipelines.
Design, develop and implement tooling components.
Support development teams and SREs.
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) management and monitoring,
Manage Cloud infrastructure framework and modules.
Base Docker images and VM assets for project including security updates and migrations.
Develop alerting and monitoring infrastructure.
Help with role swap / disaster recovery procedures.
requirements-expected :
Diverse IT background with proven development experience in highly regulated environments, with a strong interest in technology and programming.
Extensive experience in DevOps role (5 + years), proficiency in Python, Bash, and Linux.
Practical experience with containerization (Docker/podman), Terraform, Packer, Ansible, and Git, along with CI/CD tools such as Ansible Tower, TeamCity, and ELK stack.
Familiarity with Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus, and experience with GKE (Kubernetes), MongoDB, and messaging systems (MQ, PUB/SUB).
Strong understanding of microservice architecture patterns, Git strategies, and the software development lifecycle.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps environment, with excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
Eager to learn and develop both technical and soft skills independently and rapidly.
Willingness to provide occasional weekend or after-hours support as needed.
