Our engineering department is a melting pot of some of the brightest (and kindest!) engineers in the industry.

The level of complexity of hx Renew requires a highly technical, true engineering mindset, creating a deeply creative, innovative environment where we push technological boundaries, both through our work and our regular (and sometimes irregular!) hackathons.

Your Mission

2024 has been a big year for hyperexponential. Our profile is growing rapidly, and our customer base with it. We have numerous exciting features to develop and we want to deliver more of them in parallel, sooner, and safer than weve ever done before. To prepare for the future, were looking at all our systems, refreshing most of them and reworking the rest to get ready for anything. Your mission will be to help us deliver this! Your expertise will be particularly valued if you have encountered accelerated growth in a rapidly scaling engineering organization.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about our Engineering Velocity mission: Empowering engineers to deliver better, faster, and safer . You should be eager to contribute by continuously improving processes, introducing innovative tools, and driving initiatives that make a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand their challenges and requirements, treating them as customers, and delivering solutions that meet their needs.
• Implement tools to enhance collaboration and improve developers workflows.
• Take ownership of projects, make decisions, and drive initiatives forward in a newly established team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, autonomy, and continuous improvement within the Engineering Velocity team and across the organization.
• Identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies that negatively affect productivity, ensuring smoother workflows and faster progress.
• Continually learn and improve yourself - experiment and play with new technologies through your work and hackathons.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience building internal platforms and tooling to support faster development.
• Mastery over one or more programming languages such as Python, Rust, or Go.
• Strong DevOps experience, with working knowledge of AWS, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and management of internal tooling.
• Proven background of working with engineers to understand their problems and design high-impact solutions.
• Proven track record of taking ownership of projects, driving initiatives forward, and delivering tangible results.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
