As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the release and deployment strategy and implementation for our innovative homegrown tool. Leveraging your extensive experience in AWS and DevOps practices, you will drive the continuous improvement of our deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation and operational processes.

Responsibilities:

• Release and Deployment Strategy: Lead the design, development and execution of a robust release and deployment strategy for our homegrown tool. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.
• Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to provision AWS resources. Automate provisioning, configuration and scaling of infrastructure components to support the needs of the application.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test and deployment processes. Implement best practices for version control, code review and automated testing.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability, availability and performance of the application. Utilize AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools to monitor infrastructure and application metrics.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of the deployment infrastructure and processes. Implement security best practices, perform regular audits and collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Response: Provide expertise in troubleshooting production issues and incidents. Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime and impact on users.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, infrastructure configurations and troubleshooting procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services and technologies, including EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, etc.
• Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
