About the Marketing Technology

We are seeking Senior DevOps Engineers to join our Platform Squad in Marketing Technology team. If you have prior experience as a DevOps Engineer passionate about building resilient and scalable systems on the public cloud, we encourage you to apply.

As a member of the Marketing Technology team, you will be responsible for developing and managing a web-based content delivery platform. You will play a role in defining how our teams build, deploy, and operate their cloud-based content delivery services, which handle millions of requests per minute and serve millions of users worldwide.

Our team is partnering with product, content, security, localisation and engineering teams to deliver a resilient, secure, and scalable website content delivery platform. This involves providing infrastructure, observability tooling, knowledge, and support, including developing internal tooling and educating teams on its usage, implementing a standardized approach for continuous delivery and architecting cloud-native solutions.

What you will be responsible for

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on long-term growth and operational efficiency.

• Leading the development and continuous improvement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring best practices in deployment, automation, and versioning.
• Owning and evolving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, driving innovation, and standardizing practices across the organization.
• Building internal content delivery tooling used by other development teams
• Setting engineering standards and best practices for the team and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to adopt a high standard of DevOps excellence.
• Enhancing software delivery pipelines and infrastructure reliability
• Ensuring observability solutions are not only implemented but optimized, including comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for all critical systems and services.

What we are looking for

Must-Have

• Strong engineering foundation and a demonstrated history of building and operating secure, scalable, and resilient distributed systems.
• Advanced expertise in AWS and cloud infrastructure, with a deep understanding of best practices for security, scaling, and cost optimization.
• Experience in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Go, Python)
• Very good understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tooling, e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK.
• Exceptional communication skills , with the ability to document complex concepts clearly and concisely and to collaborate effectively with engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in agile development practices , coupled with a proactive approach to improving team and project outcomes.
• Experience with observability solutions and concepts, including their usage in creating resilient systems, e.g. Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Proven experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI, Gitlab or GitHub
• Mentorship or leadership experience, with a knack for guiding junior engineers and championing DevOps principles across teams.
