The DevOps Architect role is a key position within our growing Network Management team at Nokia. As a DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for defining the architecture of our solutions and supporting our teams in delivering cutting-edge products for telecom operators. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product platforms by ensuring that architectural proposals meet the requirements of rapidly growing critical telecom networks. You will collaborate with other teams and departments within Nokia, as well as interact with customer representatives and strategic partners. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN


As part of our team, you will:


  • Lead the target architecture and design of selected Network Management cloud-native platform components to meet the security, performance, capacity, scalability, and reliability requirements
  • Evaluate, select and integrate the cloud-native eco-system platform components in areas of observability, CI/CD, service mesh, security & compliance, database, streaming & messaging, cache and others in cooperation with Product Managers and as required by product business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (customer care, services, development, system testing) to deliver Nokia Mobile Networks Management solutions, using microservices architecture principles and supporting PaaS components.
  • Create and maintain software architecture documentation
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization in product architecture evolution.
  • Provide guidance to development teams, customers and strategic partners, including product capability presentations.


KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


Our Requirements: 


  • 5+ years of experience in design, architecture, and implementation of cloud-native solutions using various cloud-native eco-system platform building-blocks
  • Experience with at least one area like: observability (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), security & compliance (e.g. OPA), database (e.g. ProstgreSQL), cache (e.g. Redis), pub/sub (e.g. Kafka), ingress / API GW (e.g. Kong)
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (or a similar Kubernetes distribution), as well as virtualization technologies, like OpenStack, VMWare and KubeVirt, from a deployment, upgrade, and maintenance/operational procedures perspective
  • Experience using and implementing Kubernetes patterns and best practices
  • Experience creating platform component evaluation material, including analyzing various factors and providing specifications for development, for selected solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders, as well as customers and partners.
  • Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.


We will be more interested if you also have experience in: 


  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, and platform services available in those environments.
  • Basic knowledge of telecom network architecture and network management aspects.
  • Understanding of Zero-touch provisioning and Zero-touch network and Service Management concepts.
  • Former exposure to systems in telecom OSS/BSS space
