We are seeking a versatile and proactive Cloud DevOps Administrator with expertise in Incident Management and DevSecOps to support our DevOps enabled development team.

In this role, you will work closely with our development team to ease their devops responsibilities. You will be responsible for maintaining our cloud infrastructure, managing system alerts and incidents, and ensuring the security of our systems. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable system operations. This is a mid-senior level position ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Maintain and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Monitor and make recommendations on our cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Incident Management:
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and runbooks.
  • Monitor systems for issues, respond to incidents promptly, and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
  • DevSecOps:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Patches and upgrades
  • Manage firewall rules, security groups, and access controls.
  • Automation and Monitoring:
  • Automate routine tasks and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Grafana, CloudWatch and New Relic
  • Ensure comprehensive logging and observability of systems.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with development to support deployment and integration activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a SysOps / DevOps or Security Engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Proven track record in managing system incidents and implementing security measures.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (New Relic, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Understanding of .NET frameworks (for patches and upgrades only).
  • Knowledge of CDK and Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
