As a Development Manager, you will be working out of the BEC Financial Technologies office in Warsaw and reporting to the Head of Core Banking. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions that meet the needs of our banking clients.
responsibilities :
Being accountable for delivering team contributions to the domain roadmap according to agreed objectives
Set up and maintain delivery strategy and team organization to effectively deliver on the team backlog
Organize and manage the performance of people, processes, and technology to deliver on the team backlog with clear roles, responsibilities, and processes across the value chain
Develop and drive a culture of cross-functional collaboration and coordination
Ensure development meets architectural principles and guidelines
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of all systems/platforms in your team (system ownership), including incident and problem management, system lifecycle management, etc.
Responsible for “housekeeping functions” in the team, e.g., compliance for audits, patches, technical vulnerabilities, exceptions, etc.
Ensure the team has the necessary budget, resources, approvals, and other support
Communicate with key stakeholders and collect and share feedback
Ensure transparency on decisions, progress, and results
requirements-expected :
A higher educational background (preferably within Finance or IT) and at least a few years of experience in a similar position
Demonstrated experience in managing a multicultural team of professionals from different technical backgrounds
Strong leadership capabilities and prior experience as a manager
A curious and open mindset, with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration
End-to-end understanding of technology (from user applications to underlying infrastructure) and comprehensive understanding of how to build IT solutions
Ability to drive implementation and realize business value
Customer-focused and service-minded, always striving for developing, enhancing, and maintaining solutions in excellent condition (stability and security)
Passion and ability to drive agile values and principles
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for working in teams in Denmark and Poland
