About the project

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit - one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

Nykredit is both a bank and a mortgage provider owned by an association of customers. Being customer-owned, they are in a unique position to give something back to their customers when they are doing well. Together they can simply do more for their customers and for society.

You will be responsible for providing IT solutions that support personal banking strategy. This involves both in-house IT solutions and third-party vendor solutions. Additionally, this area manages core banking responsibilities delivered by BEC to ensure a reliable and seamless customer experience.

In this role, you will lead a team with 10 employees.

Your responsibilities

As a Development Lead, you are the tech partner and take responsibility for the businesss technological operational and developmental needs. You have full HR and managerial responsibility for your team members and, as a leader, you should be accessible and ensure high employee satisfaction through your leadership style.

In general, as a Development Lead, you should:

•Build a high-performing team that can efficiently deliver on the teams backlog

•Take responsibility for the well-being and effectiveness of the team

•Ensure quality and compliance with common standards and regulatory requirements

•Ensure that development adheres to architectural principles and guidelines

•Be a competent technical sparring partner for the Product Owner and other business stakeholders

•Be responsible for ongoing recruitment and performance follow-up.

Our requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking leader who excels in driving successful project deliveries and fostering continuous improvement within the team. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills:

•Technical Expertise: strong IT background with deep insights into IT solutions and development (experience working in technology solutions for the financial industry),

•Leadership Skills: proven experience in leading and managing teams, focusing on employee satisfaction and performance,

•Communication Skills: it is important that you speak and write fluent English at a business and IT-technical high level and having a strong IT background or deep insight into IT is a significant advantage,

•Delivery Focus: ability to ensure timely, high-quality project deliveries and manage resources effectively,

•Continuous Improvement: committed to enhancing processes and solutions to boost team efficiency and product quality,

•Proactive and Curious: initiative-driven in pursuing digital ambitions and team goals,

•Relationship Builder: skilled in maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
