Development Engineer Railway Seat Systems

Your responsibilities
- Development and design of seat systems for railway vehicles (regional, long-distance, metro, etc.)
- Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools
- Engineering of seats with regard to:
- mechanical strength, comfort, ergonomics and weight
- fire protection, crash and safety requirements according to applicable standards
- Selection of appropriate materials (metals, plastics, foams, fabrics) in cooperation with purchasing and suppliers
- Support of prototype build, testing, validation and ramp up to series production
- Technical support for sales, project management, production and quality departments
- Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation (specifications, BOMs, test reports)
- Contribution to cost optimization, standardization and continuous product improvement
Our requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- Professional experience in the development of mechanical systems, preferably in the rail, automotive, aerospace or seating industry
- Proficient use of 3D CAD systems and technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of relevant standards (ideally rail vehicle standards) is an advantage
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. sheet metal forming, welding, injection molding, upholstery)
- Analytical, structured and self driven way of working
- Strong team player with willingness to work in international projects
- Language skills:
- Very good English skills, spoken and written
- Polish is an advantage
- German is a plus
