Overview
Destination Sales Development Manager - Poland at Kuoni Tumlare. You will be responsible for generating Leisure and MICE business from the Polish market (and any other market agreed with GM) and/or to Polish destinations, developing the sales and portfolio of active clients, and achieving the sales objective defined by management.
Key Activities
- Promote KuoniTumlare services in Poland by visiting active or potential clients and making phone calls to new prospects
- Enlarge the portfolio of KuoniTumlare clients
- Promote activities aimed to promote destination Poland as specified on the annual targets/goals
- Maintain close communication with local offices to ensure smooth business operations
- Investigate new products or activities to be promoted in coordination with the destination office
- Participate in sales trips, travel workshops and fairs in Europe as agreed with CM
- Organise fam trips and educational tours for clients as required by CM
- Lead marketing activities on own markets for own clients
- Acquire new customers (domestic & worldwide)
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key accounts to drive repeat business
- Develop tailored proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet revenue targets
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Provide monthly sales reports and market/sales activity analysis
- Report to Country Manager after each sales trip, workshop, or fair attendance
- Coordinate with Revenue Control to check business profitability
- Responsible for group sales revenue and profit targets in line with the market budget and ensure quality customer service
- Plan and implement sales delivery targets and KPIs
- Accompany and lead clients for site inspections and on-site project coordination
- Ensure revenue control of tours using company systems
- Prepare client offers, follow up, and finalize contracts
- Ensure each confirmed group is fully prepaid in due time unless credit facilities exist
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Commercially minded and sales driven
- Proven track record in a DMC or MICE industry experience in Poland
- Good connections within the MICE network in Poland (Convention Bureaus, Suppliers, Tourist Organizations)
- Deep understanding of the travel industry and market requirements
- Degree in Tourism and Travel Business
- Entrepreneurial and creative approach
- Project management
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel/PDF)
- Fluent English and Polish
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work under pressure from clients
- Excellent communication to collaborate with destination offices
- Team spirit and ability to work within a group
- Inbound travel experience in Europe is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
