Your Role And Responsibilities
- Join IBMs worldwide design organization for AI Applications, empowering users to do their best work through intuitive and visually engaging interfaces.
- As a Designer, create end-to-end customer experiences for AI-enabled solutions that help businesses make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Translate insights from design research into low and high-fidelity mock-ups, patterns, prototypes, and development-ready specifications.
- Develop high-fidelity mock-ups, graphics, design patterns, prototypes, and demos to enhance user interfaces.
- Participate in discussions regarding common patterns, assets, and efficiencies within the product space.
- Collaborate with design team members and developers to build, update, and modernize software product user interfaces using agile methodologies.
- Design business process scenarios and flows for user interfaces and demonstrations.
- Share work-in-progress designs and engage in constructive critique.
- Understand business problems across our customer base to provide context for deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across worldwide teams including design researchers, content designers, developers, and product owners.
- Plan, lead, and moderate virtual and in-person design thinking workshops.
Qualifications
- Required Technical And Professional Expertise —
- UI problem solving: ability to solve complex user problems through UI design, mock-ups, prototypes, and documenting interaction patterns.
- Design tools proficiency: experience with Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
- Visual design skills: proficiency in creating visually compelling artifacts, icons, high-fidelity mock-ups, and other graphical elements.
- Design principles: knowledge of typography, layout, imagery, colour theory, and creating efficiencies in visual design workflows.
- Communication skills: strong ability to understand and address customer requirements.
- Dynamic environment: comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment.
- Portfolio: must have a portfolio showcasing previous design work.
- Preferred Education — Bachelor’s Degree

- Design trends awareness: understanding of modern design thinking, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Attention to detail: meticulous focus on pixel-level quality.
- Workshop facilitation: knowledge in planning and moderating design thinking workshops.
