Wärtsilä Exhaust Treatment is looking to welcome an enthusiastic and resourceful Design Engineer to strengthen our Design & Construction team working for a better future. As a Design Engineer, you will be a key participant in the development of Carbon Capture and Storage Solutions.

The position is permanent, with the preferred location in Gdynia , Poland. An optional location in Moss, Norway can also be considered.

As a Design Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Model and create technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Support the design, technical specification, and configuration for externally manufactured exhaust gas cleaning products and systems.
  • Produce and check documentation (Bill of Materials, Standardizations, GA, etc.)
  • Participate in the complete documentation workflow.
  • Understand and comply with design guidelines, internal and international standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Cooperate with project management and other disciplines (Mechanical, Automation, Process, R&D, etc.).
  • Participate in the development of more efficient engineering processes.
  • Contribute to efficient project execution ensuring right quality, cost, and time.
  • Develop your knowledge base of product specification, integration, and support.
  • Be open to new challenges, especially related to decarbonization of the marine industry.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering. Recent graduates will also be considered.
  • Strong passion for marine technology and a desire to make a significant impact in the marine industry.
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude toward professional development.
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously, work independently, and collaborate with a multi-discipline and international team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor).
