Qualification

  • Graduated engineer (MSc) in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 0‑3 years of professional career in a mechanical engineering position
  • 0‑3 years of working proficiency in at least one of the mentioned CAD systems
  • Fundamental experience in combustion engine, transmissions, HV batteries or e‑machines design and development; manufacturing technology and materials common in the mechanical systems development
  • Advanced working proficiency in at least one major CAD system such as Catia V5/V6, 3DEXPERIENCE, PTC Creo, NX Siemens and fundamental knowledge of PLM systems like Windchill or Teamcenter
  • Very good English including technical terminology (German language is a plus)
  • Very good knowledge of MS‑Office tools, creation of presentations and technical documentation
  • High degree of flexibility, self‑working; high focus on quality and good team player
  • Well prepared to work independently, outcome‑oriented and ready to take initiative
  • Self‑interest in any kind of technical subjects

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design in CAD systems (e.g., Pro‑E, Catia V5, Siemens NX)
  • Perform various design and development tasks mainly in the field of classical, hybrid or E‑powertrains in CAD
  • Concept work, creating 3D layouts, feasibility studies, technical proposals
  • Perform package investigations, assembly feasibility and technical evaluations
  • Create and detail 3‑D models with focus on DFM or other latest technologies (AM)
  • Interpret and implement standard CAE simulation results
  • Prepare specification sheets for various powertrain components and systems
  • Provide project support with technical evaluation such as building decision matrices, tolerance stack‑up calculations, preparation of project reports, etc.
  • Maintain a high level in technical documentation (creation of 2D drawings from 3D models) according to required project standards (ISO, DIN, EN, JIS,…)
  • Support prototype procurement and quality assurance measures (D‑FMEA, DVP&R, PPAP), communicate with suppliers and the purchase department
