We are seeking an experienced and analytical Demand Planner to join our Regional South Eastern Europe Supply Chain Team for Miele Czech Republic/Slovakia, Hungary and Ukraine . The Demand Planner will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, coordinating the S&OP process, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure supply meets market needs. This role is critical to aligning sales strategies with business objectives and market trends.
Your responsibilities:
Develop and maintain monthly and weekly demand forecasts using statistical tools, historical data, and market intelligence.
Analyse sales trends, seasonal patterns, and promotional impacts to improve forecast accuracy.
Work closely with sales, marketing, and product management to gather input and align forecast assumptions.
Monitor forecast accuracy and make recommendations to improve performance metrics
Manage product lifecycle forecasts including new product introductions (NPI) and end-of-life planning.
Lead the monthly S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment between sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance
Prepare demand planning data and insights for S&OP meetings, identifying risks, opportunities, and required actions and facilitate demand consensus meetings to align on a single, actionable demand plan.
Act as a key liaison between commercial and operations teams to translate business strategies into operational plans.
Partner with inventory and supply planners to ensure optimal stock levels and service levels.
Work with IT and data analytics teams to improve demand planning tools and system capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
3+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain planning, preferably in the white goods or consumer durables industry.
Strong understanding of S&OP processes, forecasting methodologies, and supply chain principles.
Hands-on experience with SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) is required;
familiarity with DemandPlanning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP) modules is a strong advantage.
Advanced Excel skills;
experience with data visualization tools (e.G., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
Fluency in English (spoken and written, at B2/C1 level);
