​​We are looking for a Database Administrator who will participate in Database design and data modeling.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide recommendations for improvements or optimizations
• Analysis of DBMS performance problems and issue recommendations to improve the efficiency of applications
• Provide SQL development support and query tuning
• Develop and proactively review the monitoring of production PostgreSQL databases
• Maintaining data integrity by monitoring database activity to ensure that it meets regulations on security and compliance
• Enforce architectural governance, database standards and best practices
• Write and review stored procedures and make recommendations for optimization
• Develop automation standards for repeated, routine database tasks
• Manage database access.

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of HA solutions
• Experience in SQL development, database design, DML and DDL
• Understanding of query planning and optimization techniques
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL tuning and optimization parameters
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL replication techniques
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, recovery and performance monitoring standards
• Experience with Amazon RDS, MySQL, TiDB, CockroachDB, or other distributed database systems is a plus
• Experience with container runtime and management software like Docker and Kubernetes would be a plus
• Excellent written and spoken English
