About the project

We creates technologies that help understand and influence consumer behavior.

We decided to locate one of their offices in Warsaw and develop its company by hiring more amazing, skilled people.

We are looking for ✨ DB Engineer with Java background ✨ who want to develop in one of the three projects.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and enhance database architecture to support new features and ensure scalability.
  • Proactively evaluate database systems to anticipate and mitigate potential performance issues.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in an iterative manner.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of new features.
  • Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
  • Document all procedures related to the management and maintenance of databases.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand system dependencies and drive comprehensive improvements across all technology stacks.

Our requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Engineer with a strong focus on MySQL.
  • Deep knowledge of MySQL architecture, performance tuning, replication, and scalability.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve MySQL performance issues, and to optimize queries and table schemas.
  • Experience in Java programming, developing backend services, an JDBC/Hibernate integration.
  • Experience with scripting languages for automating database tasks (bash or python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed, thriving on taking initiative and actively seeking new challenges.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills, including B2 level English proficiency, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Proactive attitude, focused on anticipating and addressing issues before they escalate and consistently driving projects to completion.

Optional

  • Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Skill in managing Debezium replication.
