About this opportunity

Master Data Management as the Golden Source for Customer and Counterparty Data provides consolidated, harmonized, deduplicated data with legal hierarchies for the organization.

Location: Gdańsk, Warsaw, Łódź

Work type: Hybrid – 2 days a week in the Office.

Database Developer for Master Data Management



Your responsibilities

  • Enhancing business ownership for the data by involving business areas in the work
  • Establishing a single trusted source for Master & Reference data and consolidating the relevant data there from multiple domains and sources
  • Eliminating alternative data sources by capturing key business needs
  • Creating product visions describing the target state for the data in the new source
  • Creating a robust but flexible business data models for each data area and harmonizing the data
  • Establishing data governance and implementing data governance recipe for the new data source
  • Setting up data quality assurance for the new data source
  • Setting up data life cycle management for the new data source
  • Simplifying and automating related E2E business processes together with business areas
  • Exposing data to consumers via standard API/Kafka interface
  • Retiring irrelevant data and finding a new home for data that will not be under MDM team responsibility in the future
  • Preparing for decommissioning of legacy Master and Reference data system MDN

  • Technical: Expert knowledge in relational database management system (RDBMS) (Preferably Sql and Oracle)
  • Data: Good understanding of data and use of it in the organization (this can be discussed based on personal profile)
  • Technical: In general good database knowledge (SQL and Oracle)
  • Technical: Good knowledge in relational database management system (RMDS)
  • Data: Good understanding of data and use of it in the organisation (this can be discussed based on personal profile)
  • Data management (as discipline): Some understanding of data management as a ‘discipline’
  • With a curious mindset and own drive – willing to take on new tasks and with this executing on the agreed plan
  • English fluent – verbal and in writing
  • Ability to quickly capture and understand things – and with ability to have a wider perspective (understanding the direction) as well as transforming that into development items
  • Ability to work in an environment which is fast paced (delivering on milestones and in an agile environment)
  • Experience in different Tool Configurations (Good to know)
  • Basic understanding of Apache Kafka as a distribution channel (Good to know)
  • Basic understanding of application programming interface (API) (Good to know)
