We are looking for a Database Support Specialist to enhance and optimize database operations in a dynamic, international IT environment. In this role, you will work closely with a team of internal experts and external consultants to drive database support, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will collaborate with the Database Engineering team, covering governance, security, architecture, and design, as well as an external company responsible for daily operations.

Your main focus will be on

•Reducing the number and duration of major incidents

•Optimizing resources, including people, servers, and licenses

•Enhancing support for IT operations and development teams

Database Administrator

Your responsibilities

• Manage and support a large-scale database environment, including MS SQL and Azure Cosmos databases
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring quick service restoration
• Provide technical consultation to IT teams and business units
• Plan and control IT operations, including patching, upgrading, hardening, and monitoring databases
• Ensure compliance with Engineering and Cybersecurity policies
• Automate processes and improve database efficiency
• Collaborate with international teams, including external vendors and engineers

Our requirements

• Experience in managing large-scale MS SQL and Azure Cosmos environments
• Strong DBA skills in incident management, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with IT operations, including defining standard operating procedures and maintaining compliance
• Knowledge of database security best practices and governance standards
• Ability to work in an international environment, collaborating with teams from Poland, India, and beyond
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, both spoken and written
• Result-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to automation and optimization
• Analytical and detail-focused approach, ensuring high-quality database operations
• Ownership mentality with the ability to take responsibility and drive solutions
• Team player with strong collaboration skills
• Experience in financial institutions is an advantage
