We are currently looking for a Database Administrator for our client, to join a team delivering a digital transformation project
responsibilities :
Managing and maintaining Google Cloud BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Storage
Designing schemas, optimizing performance, and handling data partitioning and recovery
Building robust database systems tailored to end-user needs
Collaborating with Data Engineers on ingestion pipelines and modeling
Ensuring data is available, accessible, and secure—always
Performing regular testing, patching, and performance tuning
Defining and enforcing database standards, procedures, and best practices
Supporting users through proactive training and data management
requirements-expected :
Proven experience as a Database Administrator, especially in cloud environments
Hands-on expertise with BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Storage
Deep understanding of SQL-based analytics and globally distributed relational databases
Familiarity with data lake architecture and lifecycle management
Experience with data governance and tools like Great Expectations
Knowledge of IAM roles, access control, and encryption techniques
Strong command of database design, backup/recovery, and integrity management
Familiarity with database case tools and third-party integrations
Programming knowledge and an algorithmic approach to problem-solving
Degree in Computer Science or relevant certification
