The Data Analyst/Specialist is responsible for Analytics reporting on a regular basis as part of ESAN region. The role is a consulting function to the various business partners throughout the ESAN organization as part of the different key strategies. Main clients of the function are Marketing/ Sales/ Finance managers and specialists providing them with business relevant insights.
Responsible for one of the top priority business focus areas, Customer Experience, within the subregion
Prepare ad-hoc analysis for main clients
Identifies necessity of regular reporting and ensure its creation and maintenance
Provide an understanding of business needs of main clients to provide customized data analysis in appropriate format
Help other sciences to translate findings into business actions
Co-operate with Global IT department to verify the data quality in Global Data Warehouse/Google Cloud Platform
Ensure that globally developed best analytical methodologies (Best Analytical Methodology “BAM”) are used and if necessary adjusted to local needs
Create own conclusions based on analysis instead of being a pure data provider
Visualize analytical insights to make them easier understandable for our business partners
Train less experienced colleagues in the team
Possess a good working knowledge of the theoretical and applied principles of statistical and quantitative analysis, data mining, and other research methodologies
Implement research plans
Extract data from very large data sets
Design data and research reports to meet customer needs
Execute simple to moderately complex research projects
Perform simple to moderately complex data analysis
requirements-expected :
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree: Economics, Finance, Computer science, Statistics or related field
Ideally 1-3 years of experience in a comparable position; demonstrated working competency in data base management, data mining & data visualization
Programming & IT skills - e.g. SAS Base or SQL; demonstrated experience in statistics; MS Office; BI reporting tools (ideally OBIEE)
Language skills : Fluent / native in English, any other European language is a plus
Personality Strong affinity to numbers, open-minded, customer-oriented, well-structured, self-organization. Team-oriented in multi-functional teams, good communications skills
