Currently, we are looking for an experienced Data Site Reliability Engineer who will join the team building an internal platform for software product developers to accelerate the development and delivery of software solutions that address major challenges in the energy sector. The platform is a service-oriented, cloud-native, hybrid system providing self-service capabilities for developing, running, and operating software products across private and public cloud environments.

- Location: remotely with business travels to Frankfurt am Main
- Type of employment: B2B contract
- Remuneration: up to 400 EUR per day on B2B
- Project languages: German and English
Your tasks:
- Identifying, documenting, and resolving incidents swiftly to restore normal operations and minimize business impact.
- Analyzing root causes of incidents to prevent recurrence and improve service stability.
- Planning, scheduling, and controlling releases to test and production environments, ensuring the integrity of live systems.
- Implementing controlled change management processes to maintain service quality and proper documentation.
- Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline software delivery.
- Promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices for automated provisioning and management.
- Contributing to the development and optimization of data services to ensure high reliability and scalability.
- Establishing monitoring and analytics solutions to continuously assess performance and reliability.
Requirements:
- Mid-level experience as a Data Site Reliability Engineer.
- Operational experience with production systems (preferably containerized and distributed).
- Strong knowledge of containerization and container management (packaging, deployment customization).
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational data technologies (PostgreSQL, Kafka, TimescaleDB, MongoDB, etc.).
- Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and/or GitOps.
- Proficiency in English (C1) and German (B2), written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Experience with observability tools.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes operators (custom operators are a plus).
- Experience with cloud providers (e.g. GCP).
- Understanding of networking concepts, including load balancing and security.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks.
