• QIAGEN’s Digital Business Solutions leads digital transformation along the value chain, ensuring better customer service and customer satisfaction, investing in new businesses & technologies, and building & enhancing digital capabilities. The Data Science & AI Team is the cornerstone of this transformation and is looking for a new team member who is expected to:
• -Take ownership of end-to-end data science & AI projects within a global organization, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet project goals.
• -Apply advanced analytical methods and develop algorithms/models to extract insights from various data sources that support business operations across the value chain.
• -Collaborate with stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) to understand their needs and help translate those needs into clear analytical tasks. Provide support in making data-driven decisions across different business areas and communicate analytical insights.
• -Assist in the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, dashboards, and algorithms, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Data Science & AI department.

• Minimum 2 years hands-on industry experience with data science, AI or advanced analytics projects.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g.computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, bioinformatics); PhD optional.
• Expert knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
• Solid understanding of probability theory and fundamental statistical concepts.
• Fluent in Python and in using common machine learning libraries (e.g., sklearn, keras/tensorflow/pytorch, etc.). Programming in Spark would be beneficial.
• Familiar with agile software development and knowledge of professional software development practices, tools for source control and project management especially Git, JIRA and Azure DevOps
• Experience implementing Large Language Models or GenAI pipelines will be an asset
• Big data ecosystems, common ETL processes, and experience with the Azure tool stack will be an asset.
