UL Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to join its AI Lab team and play a key role in developing and advancing cutting-edge AI products across the organization. This role can be based in Warsaw, Poland, or Barcelona, Spain.

responsibilities :
Design and develop AI models using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Natural Language Processing techniques.
Train, test, and optimize algorithms and Large Language Models to ensure accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
Collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to integrate AI solutions into production systems.
Deploy AI models into cloud, ensuring reliability and security.
Strong capability to coordinate and communicate with colleagues across diverse geographic regions and time zones.
requirements-expected :
Minimum of a bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or any other related field of science.
Experience using statistical computer languages to query databases, manipulate data, and draw insights from large data sets.
Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Detailed knowledge of machine learning evaluation metrics and best practices.
Strong problem-solving with an emphasis on product development, good analytical & communication skills.
Strong programming skills in Python, Prompt Engineering, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (or Continuous Deployment), and knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for AI deployment.
Expertise in Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras etc.) and MLOps for Generative AI.
Experience of working in an Agile environment for applied research.
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influencing, collaboration, and listening skills.
Ability to articulate an idea with strong communication and presentation skills.
Work as part of a small team, sharing ideas and contributing to the strategic goals.
