Data Quality Control Specialist for Transaction Reporting

In this role, you will be part of the Regulatory Transaction Reporting Team focused on Quality Assurance, responsible for providing requirements, building, and analysing Completeness & Accuracy as well as Eligibility & Suppression controls performed in Cerebrum and/or DROIT.
Responsibilities
- Analyse various MIFID regulatory requirements and follow transaction flows to confirm their behaviour aligns with the reporting regime, prioritizing low-hanging fruit for immediate gains.
- Conduct deep dive reviews into existing reporting rules to understand the root cause of regulatory breaches and make risk-based decisions to address material issues.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure those requirements are followed in your teams processes, aiming for the target state of compliance.
- Analyse, suggest, and execute improvements for existing testing methodologies, including process optimization and automation to eliminate manual work and enhance productivity.
- Define new test scenarios based on updated regulatory requirements, ensuring they yield results and improve client satisfaction.
- Ensure clear and transparent communication of regulatory risk, enabling effective operational risk management and supporting business growth.
- Collaborate with the Product Team, Compliance, Risk Managers, IT Technology, and other stakeholders to ensure that trade, transaction, and position reporting for house and delegated reporting is complete and accurate.
- Utilise internal documentation and regulatory texts to understand and resolve control highlights, enhancing overall productivity.
- Projects related to upcoming regulatory changes, aimed at improving effectiveness and scale.
- Team transformation initiatives, including data self-service by writing SQL codes on Data Bricks, simplifying processes.
- AI implementation of various data solutions and controls improvements, driving productivity and simplification.
Qualifications
- A university degree, preferably in Finance / Economics.
- Minimum of three years of experience in financial services.
- Experience in Audit/Operational Risk and Control in the financial industry.
- Ability to multi-task and good problem solving skills.
- Sound understanding of Risk – operational, reputational.
- Basic understanding of regulatory landscape.
- A great communicator with fluency in English.
- Inquisitive with analytical and risk-aware mindset.
- Preferably equipped with knowledge of investment bank products, trade life cycle, and trade booking models.
- Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
