We’re seeking a Data Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Price Optimization Department. In this role you will validate data pipelines, monitor data quality, and investigate anomalies to uncover root causes. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, scientists, analysts and product teams to safeguard the consistency and trustworthiness of our data. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL and large‑scale data systems, experience testing and validating data pipelines, and thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of data validation practices (define validation rules, implement tests, and set quality standards)
- Production support (SRE) for price optimisation pipelines: react on alerts, report issues
- Release testing and validation: end‑to‑end data and quality checks across specified environments
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience in Data Quality Assurance or a similar role
- Strong SQL and OLAP database proficiency (must: BigQuery – plus, ClickHouse – strong plus)
- Solid understanding of ETL/data pipeline testing and Big Data platforms (must)
- Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks or similar Python‑based debugging environments (e.g., VS Code interactive mode) – strong plus
- Familiarity with Dagster (strong plus)
- Python for scripting/basic automation (good plus)
- GCP experience (good plus)
- Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools
Soft Requirements
- Ability to deliver against aggressive timelines in a very dynamic startup environment (must)
- Ability to manage stress and remain effective under pressure (good plus)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands (good plus, occasional paid overtime may be required)
- Knowledge of the airline industry (pricing, revenue management) (strong plus)
- Experience working within Agile methodologies
