  • We are looking for an experienced Data Protection Engineer to enhance our organization’s ability to safeguard sensitive data, ensure regulatory compliance, and counter emerging cyber threats. This position involves designing, deploying, and managing data protection strategies while collaborating with IT, Security, Compliance, and Privacy teams to secure information across all digital platforms.

responsibilities :


  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
  • Work closely with Privacy and Compliance teams to ensure security measures meet regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, etc.).
  • Investigate and resolve data-related security incidents, including forensic analysis and corrective actions.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize data protection tools to minimize risk and enhance coverage.
  • Create and update security policies, procedures, and playbooks focused on data protection.
  • Collaborate with IT and Security Operations to identify, analyze, and respond to threats targeting sensitive information.
  • Support risk assessments, audits, and compliance evaluations.
  • Stay informed on emerging attack techniques and recommend innovative technologies or best practices.
  • Advise project teams on secure data handling, encryption, and access control strategies.

requirements-expected :


  • Minimum 4 years of experience in data security, information protection, or cybersecurity engineering.
  • Practical experience with data classification, DLP, and cloud security tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Microsoft DLP, CASB).
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including encryption, access control, security architecture, and risk management.
  • Skilled in incident detection, digital forensics, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and data security regulations.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting and explaining technical concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or Security+.
  • Previous experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Security Incident Response Team (SIRT).
