The Privacy Compliance Administrator supports the Data Protection Office in managing tools, processes, and documentation that ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations. The role works closely with teams across the organization to maintain data inventories, respond to data requests, track compliance metrics, and streamline privacy operations.
responsibilities :
Maintain the tools used to manage personal data inventory, collect, organize and manage evidence for, and document responses to assessments and data requests. This is to support compliance activities concerning business processes and meeting legal privacy obligations
Assist in the development of processes, procedures, and implementation of tools used to manage and efficiently use / reuse evidence, respond to data subject and customer requests, track compliance, and Report on metrics
Assist in the development and maintenance of an evergreen data inventory and documenting responses to privacy and information security questions and using applicable tools
Formatting requests for processing
Assist in response due diligence and assembling finalized responses and documentation to meet data subject requests within regulatory mandated timelines
Assist in the tracking of metrics for the measurement of volume and type of requests, information gaps, the effectiveness of processes, etc. Assist in reporting on the same
Support initiatives that automate and streamline current privacy-related processes
Assist in the development and maintenance of the Data Protection Office - Enterprise intranet
Support the daily activities associated with the implementation of the Data Protection Office Privacy Compliance program
Perform other compliance, data protection, and privacy-relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned
Assist with preparing training and presentation materials (as needed)
requirements-expected :
Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Technology, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Information Security, or other related fields (or equivalent experience)
Five (5) years of related work experience, which includes two (2) years of practical experience in compliance activities (Information Security, Privacy helpful)
Proficient with Google Office suite - Gmail, Chat, Meet, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms
Must possess a strong technical aptitude and be able to effectively communicate with technology professionals: data analysis skills required
Must be familiar with privacy and data protection laws, regulations, and best practices
Privacy knowledge and experience preferred
Experience with compliance issues and standards at all levels (local, state, federal, and international) and familiarity with industry-specific regimes, e.g., Nymity, NIST, ISO 27000, SOC2, PCI, GDPR, etc. is helpful
