YOUR CHALLENGE

We are looking for an experienced data modeler able to develop and maintain detailed logical and physical data models using UML class notation. The Data Modeller should have skills in areas of data modeling and design, information governance and security, and business analysis. The Data Modeller will work closely with the Data Modelling Lead to ensure consistent implementation of data modeling processes, including data identification, prioritization, and documentation.

The Enterprise Data Model (EDM) holds the detailed definitions of, and relationships between business concepts (e.g., Vendor, Customer). This fully attributed class model supports business rule definitions, physical data model mapping, and much more.

Your Responsibilities

1. Maintaining the content of the Enterprise Data Model (EDM);
2. Producing instances of EDM presentation artifacts (diagrams, reports, etc.) as required;
3. Applying the data modeling standards and guidelines used in the development and upkeep of the EDM;
4. Executing the procedures for maintaining and publishing the EDM content;
5. Reporting to the Lead Data Modeller.

Ready to apply? First, check if you:

1. Have experience with UML class models, including navigable associations, generalization sets, association roles;
2. Have experience with UML state machines;
3. Have experience in designing RESTful API models using XSDs or JSON schemas;
4. Can relate platform-specific models to a platform-independent model;
5. Can relate a platform-independent model to the EDM;
6. Have developed data models for many of the following concepts:
   
   
   • Organization
   • Person
   • Supplier/Vendor
   • Customer
   • Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Supplier Invoice
   • Customer Order, Invoice
   • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
   • Payments, Receipts
   • Saleable Product
   • Purchased Material
7. Have experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar UML tools;
8. Have a professional level of English with excellent team collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

1. Experience of modelling processes using BPMN 2;
2. Hold an OMG OCUP-2 certification;
3. Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment;
4. Positive attitude, flexibility, and continuous learning mindset;
5. Clear thinking skills, ability to plan and execute your work, regardless if youre working on your own or in the team;
6. Ability to think one step ahead, quickly finding solutions to issues and knowing when to escalate risks or problems.
