About Project

As a Data Engineer you will be relied on to independently develop and deliver high-quality features for our client’s new ML Platform, refactor and translate our data products and finish various tasks to a high standard. You’ll be part of the Data Foundation Team, which focuses on creating and maintaining the Data Platform for one of our clients. This is a heavy hands-on code where you are expected to be able to translate code between different languages and set up infrastructure components.

  • ready to start immediately,
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in using Python, Spark,
  • experience in AWS Cloud usage and management,
  • experience with Databricks (Lakehouse, ML, Unity Catalog, MLflow),
  • experience using various ML models and frameworks such as XGBoost, Lightgbm, Torch,
  • experience with orchestrators such as Airflow and Kubeflow,
  • familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes),
  • fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake and other data file formats,
  • proficiency on an IaC tool such as Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation,
  • strong written and verbal English communication skills and proficient in communication with non-technical stakeholders.

,[responsible for at-scale infrastructure design, build and deployment with a focus on distributed systems, , building and maintaining architecture patterns for data processing, workflow definitions, and system to system integrations using Big Data and Cloud technologies, , evaluating and translating technical design to workable technical solutions/code and technical specifications at par with industry standards, , driving creation of re-usable artifacts, , establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analysis, data model development, validation, and implementation, , working closely with analysts/data scientists to understand impact to the downstream data models, , writing efficient and well-organized software to ship products in an iterative, continual release environment, , contributing and promoting good software engineering practices across the team, , communicating clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, , defining data retention policies, , monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes.
