Data Governance Data Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Governance Data Analyst.

The Data Governance Data Analyst is responsible for managing the Data Governance content of the InfoSphere Business Glossary Repository.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Department Managers and gather information about business terms.
  2. Governing the data - updating business terms by adding technical descriptors and business context.
  3. Participating in attestation process and preparing reports.
  4. Metadata management - importing metadata from SQL/Oracle/DB2 databases.
  5. Data lineages creation.
  6. Data Quality rules development.

Hybrid model: 3 days per week in the office / 2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Information Systems, or equivalent direct business experience.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience working with SQL, and database management systems.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of relational database management systems, flat files, and related data structures. Familiarity with Excel (V Lookup), SQL Server and MySQL databases. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills. Self-driven, work in teams and independently if required.

Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of InfoSphere or other data governance tool.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as required.
