We are looking for Senior Data Engineer for our customer, a global leader in flavours and fragrances, operating in over 180 locations worldwide. Since 1895, it has created innovative and sustainable solutions for the food, beverage, beauty, personal care, and home care industries. With this job, you will have the opportunity to travel once a month to Paris, Bucharest.


Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and manage data from various sources (including external data sources).
  • Develop and maintain data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Continuously monitor and fine-tune data pipelines and processing workflows to enhance overall performance and efficiency, considering large-scale data sets.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, architecture, and processes, making it easier for team members to understand and contribute to the data engineering initiatives
  • Contribute to project planning by providing time and effort estimates for development and implementation tasks and deliverables.
  • Work with stakeholders including product, data and architecture SMEs to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Ensure compliance with data architecture and security requirements


If you possess...

  • Experience with data engineering tools and technologies such as Python, PySpark, SQL.
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing services such as Snowflake, S3, AWS ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
  • Proven experience with Data Modelling for data warehousing use cases, design patterns and building highly scalable and secure solutions.
  • Experience with workflow management tools like Apache Airflow, Control-M or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of DevOps to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of data systems.
  • Good knowledge of Agile principles.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Good understanding of monitoring data pipelines and working on incident resolution based on expected SLAs.
