Data Engineer (Operational Data Warehouse) Miejsce pracy: Gdańsk Technologies we use Expected PySpark SQL Git CI/CD Databricks Operating system Windows Linux About the project One of Lufthansa Data Warehouse systems gathers, processes and provides data about: Lufthansa Group fleet, Aircrafts maintenance, Executed flights, Transported passengers and baggageand many more operational topics. Due to the scale and complexity of the platform, the project requires experienced Data Engineers to support its further development. The Data Engineers working on this project will be responsible for: - implementing new functionalities requested by business stakeholders, - improving and optimizing existing data processes, - analyzing data quality issues and exceptional data scenarios, - designing and implementing data import and export processes. Your responsibilities Analyze business requirements related to Data Engineering. Investigate data quality and consistency issues. Design technical solutions (database structures and processes). Implement and test the proposed solutions. Prepare solutions for deployment. Maintain technical documentation. Our requirements Commercial experience in Data Processing, including: modern data engineering platforms (e.g. Databricks, Azure Data Factory), experience with PySpark, database procedural languages (e.g. T-SQL, PL/SQL), very good SQL skills. Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git). Very good command of English (B2/C1). Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset. Willingness to work from the office in Gdańsk at least 2 days per week. Optional Experience with ETL tools (e.g. SSIS, Oracle ODI, Informatica, Azure Synapse/Fabric). Database operations knowledge (partitioning, indexing, performance tuning). Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
